Journal offers funding reform commentary

March/April 2017
In 2017, the future of school funding reform is a key issue in Illinois government, among stakeholders, and in the March/April 2017 issue of The Illinois School Board Journal. IASB Deputy Executive Director Ben Schwarm comments on reforming the school funding formula in “Funding reform won’t work without funding.” In a similar vein, learn the wording behind Illinois’ responsibility to its public schools in “76 Words.”

Also in this issue, the Journal revisits its long-running series on public school administrator salaries by Lora Wolff and Dean Halverson from Western Illinois University. This year’s analysis, titled “It’s all relative,” includes comparisons and shows gaps across states and within regions of the state.
